Register with us in 5 simple steps:

1. On the phone : we will assess the kind of jobs you are suitable for with our Agency and determine when you are available to start a position.
2. Via fax, email or post:- complete and return our application form that will be sent to you.
3. On the phone:- review your completed application form with one of our recruitment officers.  This will give you an opportunity to introduce yourself further and ask any questions that may have arisen during the application process.
4. Provide references for us to screen.
5. Attend a face to face interview -  (please bring with you the Agency's selection criteria i.e.your relevant documents and certificates) and then take part in one of our Induction and Information sessions.

These inductions are held regularly in one of our seminar rooms in Kew, Melbourne and cover all aspects of working with our agency:

• You will meet other potential staff and have an opportunity to ask as many questions as you like.
• We will give you the 'low down' on what you can expect from working with us here at Placement Soutions.
•  We will discuss your responsibilities as a professional member of outr team.

WORKING PRE-REQUISITES FOR CHILD CARERS - (What you need before you apply with us)

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Minimum of 2 years childcare experience (Preferably full-time).
• Genuine liking for children and enjoyment of work in the childcare industry.
• You must hold a current level 1 First Aid Certificate. (Original to be supplied at interview and a copy created)
• A current Working with Children Check. (Original to be supplied at interview and a copy created)
• Childcare references are essential.  (Please call referees beforehand and let them know we will be calling within 24 hours of interview, this will greatly speed up the process)

OTHER ATTRIBUTES

Other factors that will be helpful, although not essential to working in the industry are:

• A current drivers licence and car.
• Computer literate
• Internet savvy
• Available for at least 3 professional development/training sessions per year.
• If unqualified, available for off-site study for at least 6 hours per month.
